Ear Stretching
It's becoming more and more popular now to have stretched ears. And what people forget is depending on how big you go your ears may not shrink back to their normal size without plastic surgery. Also depending on your current job it may not be allowed or appropriate so make sure you think carefully about if you really want one.
Some piercing studios actually do the service of strething your ears, however this can easily be done at home by going on Ebay or Amazon and ordering a 1.6mm taper. Or you can buy stretching sets that go up to 10mm for under £5. This includes around 9 tapers.
First of all make sure your ear lobe(s), hands and taper are squeaky clean. I personally used to strecth my ears in a hot bath as the heat makes it easier. Gently insert the taper and in a twisting motion push into your lobe. It should feel uncomfortable and maybe stingy but never painful. If it becomes painful, stop! Just leave the taper in your ear for a while and later gently try again. Don't force it in as you can get a "blowout". Yes it's as bad as it sounds but thankfully I have never had one.
Once your taper is fully through leave for a couple of days and if you can try not to sleep on that side. After a couple of days remove taper to clean with soapy water and ofcourse your ear lobe. Do this daily for 2-3 weeks before sizing up. Size up with the next size, don't skip sizes as you will most likely have a "blow out".
I also like to use Jojoba oil on my lobes every couple of weeks and use this to polish my plugs. This oil is particularly good at keeping wood plugs in peak condition! Make sure to still clean your lobes every day, if you don't you will develop what is called "ear cheese". A very smelly, gooey discharge. Not nice....
